Warm Up!

Hello, everyone!  It's me, Cammie!  Yesterday, our temps started to warm up - we even got above freezing for the first time in a long, long time.  To "celebrate", we went for a longer all-family walk!

"Remind me again why Mom and Dad think it's good that it's warming up?"
"They aren't Siberians, Maggie."

Sometimes we forget that.  And not that we wanted to spend a great deal of time outside when it was 25 or 30 degrees below zero - I sure didn't - but we are better equipped to handle the cold than Mom and Dad.

"Look, Maggie!  There's still plenty of snow to walk in over here!"
"There's ice up ahead on the path -- I'm zeroing in on that!"

It was great to get out for a longer walk.  We're supposed to keep on this warming trend for a couple days -- I predict some great walks over the weekend!  Do you have any plans?

Cammie!

Maggie I'm so glad you liked my new condo....I'm quite pleased with it too. So much so that I always take my 2nd mini breakfast of the day there on the patio

  4. It's January in Kansas so warm shouldn't be in the vocabulary when describing the outside. We hope you get more cold and snow soon!

  5. I just got some fabric named Kansas Troubles-maybe it's referring to your cold weather. WE have sunshine today, but lots of clouds too; it was supposed to get up to 65, but there is no way. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler and then the white stuff will come Sunday and Monday. WE have 5 grands plus Petrol coming over tomorrow and we will take them to see the Clydesdale Horses at Budweiser. I love those horses. Sunday we will just hang out and play games. I have to go get my bangs trimmed-they are just too long for me, I need to be able to see while I sew. Keep snuggling with your mom and dad and keep them warm.

  6. Our temps will be warming up a bit too so I suspect that mom will want to take longer walks too. Walkies are the best!

  7. A whole bunch of folks are coming to see me on Sunday. Well, to see our new house, but mostly to see me! It's supposed to be in the 60s here!

  8. It's hard to get them to come out and play in the cold. We keep telling them to grow a coat, but they aren't listening.

  10. It got up to 39. Mom ventured out as a friend from church told her about a small family run grocers/butchers about 15 minutes away that had NON-FROZEN Atlantic Canadian Salmon. Yes, it's pricey as it's flown into O Hare - but she is SO looking forward to a big slab of that. Growing up on the Columbia river, the only salmon she ate was fresh caught and put it this way - in Chicago the "Catch of the Day" is usually a hotdog.

  13. your sunshiny pictures are very nice! we got a break from our clouds and fog today and had some sunshines too. there is supposed to be a cold storm front moving in here, with more snow for the mountains than rain. we wonder if it will get cold enough as low as we are so we can see some snow!
enjoy your walk filled weekend! we're hopin for at least one day of sunpuddlin :)
